NEWS for 2013 Calendars
There will be a Past & Present Revisited calendar for all but 2 areas.
We have selected past images from issues as far back as 1998 and used them again with the relevant present issued picture. In most cases the present image also reflects the changes since first issued.
Areas that we will not be revisiting but issuing fresh calendars are West Sussex and Brigton & Hove

As this Bristol calendar became very popular interest started growing in other areas, so we are, (with the help of local museums and private collections), continually extending our range, keeping the past and present theme. We now produce an extensive range of period pictures, along with some of the more popular modern views, in greeting card form and as mounted pictures for framing. Recent News: As explained above we have had a difficult time since 2006. Even more so in 2012. We ask you to be patient and help us survive this terrible and farcical situation of Sampson and Goliath. We believe, very strongly, we have the stone to down Goliath. We would also like to thank our local MP for her encouragement to continue our battle with much needed legal advice and guidance from her advisors. We were always skeptical about MP's in general but we must say our experience over the last few months has changed our opinion. We do thank those of you that have stayed loyal to our product and your massive response to our plight. For those who have contacted us with your own stories of the terrible 2 we just stress to you to come forward, officially, do not fear there power. There is still time! Our original company, Victoria Press, specialized in printing
and publishing books, newspapers and magazines. It so happened back in 1997, we
were printing books for one Mr Peter Davey, featuring his unique collection of
old pictures, some of which dated from as early as 1895. The theme of his
collection was trams and buses in Bristol and surrounding areas. Mr Davey and
ourselves thought that it would be a good idea to make historical pictures like
these more readily available for everyone to see, and after something of a
brainstorming session we agreed on the idea and format of our "Past and
Present" calendars. Each page of the calendars has one archive picture,
usually from about 100 years ago, and one modern picture taken of the same
location. There are two sizes, A3 (420 × 297mm) and A4 (297 × 210mm). The A3
size is printed on one side only, so that at the end of the year the pictures
can be kept and framed. Ideal if you are interested in the local history of your
area. We selected pictures of a more general content, and produced our
first calendar. And so Past and Present Publications was formed.
